Chris Penn is best known and most beloved for playing Nice Guy Eddie in the classic “first movie” Reservoir Dogs by Quentin Tarantino.
Which I coincidentally purchased recently and tried to give away as a Valentine’s Day present…
talk about “my bloody valentine”… I dunno… I forgot I already had it on DVD and could have just loaned it to the guy… nevermind its inappropriate nature… and there were other gifts.
Addionally the most obese Penn did a recent guest star turn in the HBO series Entourage… sparring with Johnny Drama, the lovable but older and “has-been” brother of the Vincent Chase, the series’ “star.”
As an intersting aside, a third Penn brother was semi famous in the late eighties and early nineties as a rock singer… Michael Penn had minor hits such as the heavily Beatles inspired “No Myth” and “This and That.”
Chris Penn also played a minor part in one of my favorite movies Rush Hour, starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. I’m not really into buddy-action movies, but this one was done right and is funny.
