jack warden’s passing saddened me – i’m not usually affected by celebrity deaths, but i was a big fan of ‘crazy like a fox’ as a kid and i always had happy memories of watching the show. i was extremely vocal against heath ledger playing the joker in ‘the dark knight’, but had to eat my words on seeing his performance; so much so it was the first blu-ray i bought, and now ranks as one of my favourite films because of his interpretation of the character.
