  1. There’s a made-for-TV movie remake of The Lion in Winter from 2003 starring Patrick Stewart and Glenn Close.

Blu-ray movies are encoded at a maximum of 40 Mbps, compared to 29.4 Mbps max. for HD-DVD and 8 Mbps max. for DVD (5 Mbps average). VHS tapes would be the equivalent of 2 Mbps.

Paul Reubens had auditioned for Saturday Night Live in 1980 and was rejected. Gilbert Gottfried was chosen instead.

  2. Esteban, thanks for the link. That’s crazy! And you’re right, Paul Reubens will be 57 in eight days. Pee-wee’s an old man now, which makes me a little sad.

  3. just on scanning the topics discussed in this episode shows how varied your show is. there are hundreds of podcasts, but yourselves do literally talk about ANYTHING, yet somehow focused and everything fits together. i never noticed clunky non-sequiturs. my mate who hates everything keeps telling me to watch ‘greedy’ just because of phil hartman – so it must be good!
