  1. i’ve just had to leave facebook because it is becoming too intrusive. the only thing keeping me on there was yourselves – so it shows how much i hate it now. i went watching ‘john carter’ with my girlfriend and we walked out after about 35 minutes – the film was less understandable than ‘the chronicles of riddick’, and that’s saying something. i have to see ‘drew peterson: untouchable’ now; it sounds just as funny / insane as ‘nobel son’. greg – your reactions to rob’s explanations are always great. “i bet you this move doesn’t even exist!” = gold.

  2. You were far too generous to the Zooey Deschanel sitcom redux. The sooner they kill that show off, the better. It’s like a dead dog on the road no one will stop and clean up. Best to just drive by and pretend you didn’t see it.

And honestly, who never had a chicken pot pie? Didn’t you guys ever go through extreme poverty in your college years? Amazing revelation, never had a chicken pot pie. UnAmerican, even.

They used to sell Banquet chicken pot pies like 10 for a dollar on sale and I practically lived off them for years. A cheaper, more delicious, more hangover friendly meal for college kids didn’t exist until the advent of Ramen noodles. And chicken pot pies are better than Ramen noodles any day.

Although I would never eat a KFC anything, for the record. Fast food is frightening.

Not sure how I can justify eating a factory produced frozen pot pie. I guess I’ll chalk that one up to the vagaries of the human soul and leave the point lying like a dead dog in the road for someone else to figure out.

  3. Just wanted to give a big thanks for the great show. Been a loyal listener for the past couple of years and the show is always a fun time to listen to.

Since you mentioned The Avengers, I just had to write in about the favorite Paunch-ism of me and my 8-year-old son, Nate — the Stan Lee impressions. Every time we see Stan Lee on TV promoting something (Avengers, Comic-con, etc.), we’ll run around the house shouting “It’s me! Stan Lee!!” and making up “invented” superheroes on the spot. Keep on Paunchin’!

  4. David, I’m glad we’ve made Facebook tolerable for you. The *only* reason I’d ever consider joining again is to connect with you and all the other Paunch Stevenson Show fans out there. And yeah, Rob Lowe as Drew Peterson is pure gold. I really wish I could convey how unintentionally hilarious Untouchable is!

Steve, I agree the original batch of New Girl episodes were 99% unwatchable. I’m not saying it’s evolved into a great show…but I feel like it’s at least “watchable” now.

And for all the movies Greg is shocked I’ve never seen, now I’ve settled the score by growing up eating chicken pot pies, which he never did!

Adam, thanks for listening and for your wonderful feedback. It really means a lot to me that you and Nate enjoy the show so much, especially our Stan Lee bits. “I invent a new superhero every 45 seconds, web slingers!”

Likewise for David, Steve, Esteban, Joe, Jack, Paul Chang, Juan Pedro, Brian, Frank, Dennis, Neal, and everyone else Greg and I have the privilege to entertain :)

  5. I like “Keep on Paunchin’.” Something like that would make a good shirt. I can’t figure out what the graphic would be but maybe it should have zombie Michael Jackson on it.

I vote that as listeners we call ourselves ‘Paunch-Os’.
